Crossroads Brewery developed as a collaboration between three individuals, one brewer/craft beer enthusiast and two businessmen with an appreciation for craft beer. Todd Brenningmeyer, co-owner and head brewer, began brewing more than 25 years ago with his college roommate. Years later he met Marc Hagan and Kirk Dickinson, who had recently purchased a local home brew shop (Design2Brew). The three first discussed the possibility of opening a brewery in 2018 and two years later this is becoming a reality. The brewery’s motto, ‘the intersection of beer and brotherhood’ sums up the idea of creating a welcoming environment where customers can meet to share their passion for craft beer. The owners keep the importance of community at the forefront of their operation.

Located in O’Fallon, Missouri, Crossroads is continuing the St. Louis tradition of creating quality brews. The brewery is located adjacent to Design2Brew, a home brewing store that has been the meeting point for a local home brew club (the Society of Brewers (SoBs) and remains a hub where professionals and at-home novices alike purchase hops, brew kits, and high quality equipment. While Crossroads is a separate business from Design2Brew, the history and camaraderie that helped form the partnership will allow the two entities to collaborate as each grows. The brewery plans to continue hosting local brew club events and meetings, providing customers with a way to connect with fellow home brewers and get a more intimate look into how a brewery is operated.

At its roots, Crossroads is focused on bringing together people who share a love of beer and brewing. The inspiration is seen in Crossroads' planned selection of beers. A wide variety of IPAs, lagers, stouts, and more will be available when the brewery opens later this year. Many of the recipes are the result of home brewing experimentations that went on to win awards in local and regional brewing contests. The versatility in their brews is a direct outgrowth of countless hours of experimentation, sharing, and collaboration with members of the local craft beer community.

In the end, Crossroads Brewery will have a history rooted in community and collaboration. Through their opening and into the future, Crossroads Brewery hopes to continue promoting the importance of ‘beer and brotherhood’ and supporting their community. We can't wait to see you soon, keep following along for more insight into our renovation and opening process!
